CV/Bio

I was born and raised in the Boston area. I attended Mass College of Art and continued my art studies at The Boston Museum School. I graduated in 1980 and completed the 5th year studio program in 1981. I have worked in a variety of arts and crafts fields and also did botanical illustrations for publication in scientific journals. As a young adult I traveled around the country, spending a summer in Alaska and living in the Pacific Northwest for several years. The vastness and variety of the American landscape made a lasting impression on me. I was and am deeply moved by my experience of landscape. The source of my art has always stemmed from a keen awareness of my surroundings. My current work explores the natural environment where I live and work in Western Massachusetts.
